Kiln-Drying Process

We dry our timber using Mahild kilns, a German state-of-the-art technology that is highly efficient and cost-effective

Precision‑Dried Timber | Mahild Kiln Technology for Superior Quality

Our timber is stacked with spacers between each layer so that warm air can circulate evenly through the packs. The kiln begins drying at lower temperatures and higher humidity to prevent defects such as cracking, collapse, and warping, which are common in eucalyptus. As the timber gradually loses moisture, the temperature is increased and the humidity reduced until the desired moisture content is reached.

This controlled drying process produces timber that is:

  • More stable
  • Less likely to crack or twist
  • More consistent in quality
  • Better suited for furniture, construction, and export markets
